I just finished having lunch at a new Arby's restaurant near my home in Frisco. While I was eating, a lady came in who had a sling supporting her right arm. She placed her order went to fill her drink. The young worker behind the counter put her order on a tray and immediately walked around the counter and helped the customer find a seat.
I was impressed that this high school age worker saw the need and acted without being asked. Every employee should be on the lookout for a customer with special needs. This could be a disabled individual, an elderly customer, or a mom with two or three young kids. Put yourself in their position and anticipate the need.
